Before I was a photographer, I spent seven years as a Professional Engineer at Husky Energy. The work taught me how to think — but what stayed with me was who I met along the way. Brilliant technical founders. Engineers building real solutions to hard problems. People with patents, prototypes, and ideas that deserved to be everywhere.
And most of them were invisible online.
They could explain their technology to a room of three. They couldn’t explain it to a room of three thousand. So they hired sales teams to do it for them — and stayed quiet themselves, while less-qualified, better-branded voices took the keynotes, the press features, the podcast invitations, the investor meetings their work should have led.
I started this studio because I want to change that. I want to see technical founders become the names their industries actually know. I want them leading the next generation of engineers, scientists, and builders — not handing the microphone to someone else because they didn’t have the assets to take it themselves.
Your media kit is the first move. It’s not a set of headshots — it’s the asset that lets event organizers, journalists, investors, and podcast hosts find you, trust you on first glance, and put you on the stage. Four looks across two outfits and two backgrounds, ninety minutes of direction, and a gallery built to forward in a single email.
Build it once. Use it everywhere. Get found.
Tell us what you need
I’ll reply within one business day to confirm scope and book your session. Once it’s on the calendar, you receive a one-page prep guide — what to bring, what to wear, what to expect.
the session
Bring three or four outfits and we narrow it down to two together. Two backgrounds, four distinct looks. You see every photo on a laptop next to the camera as we shoot, so we adjust posture, expression, wardrobe — anything — in the moment. Nothing about the final gallery is a surprise.
YOur media kit photos
Within three business days, you receive a private gallery: 12–15 fully retouched images, organized by use case — formal, environmental, editorial — exported at the resolutions event organizers and journalists actually ask for. One link you forward in a single email. That’s the entire delivery.
Most corporate headshot sessions in Calgary run 15 minutes. One outfit. One background. One final photo. That’s enough for a staff directory. It’s not enough to produce the images a founder or CEO actually needs.
A real media kit is four distinct looks: a formal frame for the board page, an environmental frame for press features, a less formal portrait for podcasts and speaker bios, and a flexible image for LinkedIn and the everyday. That can’t be produced in fifteen minutes — not because the photographer isn’t skilled, but because you can’t produce that range under pressure. You need long enough to settle in, work through expressions, see what’s working on the screen, and shoot again until each image is right.
90 minutes isn’t a longer headshot session. It’s the time it actually takes to walk out with photos you’d send to a magazine.
Long enough to settle in, get used to the camera, work through expressions, and shoot until we have the photo — not just until the clock runs out.
Bring three or four outfits and we narrow it down to two together. 12–15 fully retouched images across four setups — a formal frame, an environmental frame, a less formal portrait, and a flexible LinkedIn-ready image.
815 1 St SW — walkable from most office towers, C-Train accessible, real parking nearby. Owned, not rented. Or we bring the full studio setup to your office, with the same lighting and the same standard.
A laptop sits next to the camera throughout the session. Most people have never seen themselves photographed properly — you walk over between sets and tell me what’s working. If your hair isn’t sitting right or one expression reads better than another, we catch it now, not when the gallery lands a week later.
Website, LinkedIn, press releases, conference programs, podcast appearances, investor decks, board introductions — anywhere, any number of times, no licensing fees, no expiry.
Within three business days, you receive a private link: 12–15 fully retouched images, organized by use case (formal · environmental · editorial), exported at the resolutions event organizers and journalists actually ask for. One link you forward in a single email. That’s the entire delivery.

Re-shoot Promise
Every photo in your gallery is one you’d actually send. If any image isn’t right — for any reason — we reshoot, no charge, no negotiation. This isn’t fine print: it’s why the laptop sits next to the camera throughout the session. You see every photo as we shoot, so the gallery is never a surprise.
3 Day Delivery
Your retouched gallery is in your inbox within three business days of the shoot. If we miss it, your next session is on us.

For a single LinkedIn photo, AI is fine — for about a month, until it stops looking like you. For a leadership team, it falls apart the moment the photos sit side by side: different light, different render, no consistency. A leadership page either reads as one team or it doesn't, and that's the one thing AI can't deliver. The other piece AI can't do is direction. Most people who think they "photograph badly" have just never been directed before — and direction is what turns a passable photo into one you actually want on your website.
Your reshoot session, on me. No charge, no awkward conversation. I shoot tethered to a monitor and you see images as we go, so nothing about the final gallery is a surprise. In practice this guarantee almost never gets used, because we don't end the session until you've seen something you're happy with on the screen.
Plan for 60 to 90 minutes from the time you walk in. The studio is set up before you arrive — no waiting around for lights to go up. Most of that hour is direction and small adjustments; the actual shooting is fast. If your calendar is tight, tell me at booking and I'll build the session around it.
Bring two to three outfits. At least one solid-coloured jacket, and one with some personality (a textured blazer, a coloured shirt, something that's recognisably you). Skip busy patterns and logo shirts. I send a one-page prep guide a few days before the session that covers all of this — what to wear, what to avoid, grooming notes. Most clients forward it to their EA and never think about it again.
You get three setups in one session: a clean solid background for formal corporate use, an environmental frame (your office, the studio brick, something with depth), and a less formal shot for LinkedIn or speaker bios. Twelve to fifteen final retouched images spread across those. If you want a specific look — same suit, two backgrounds; or one formal and one casual outfit — we plan it before the shoot, not during.
You do. Full usage rights, forever — website, LinkedIn, press releases, investor decks, conference programs, internal use, anywhere. No metering, no per-use fees, no expiry, no licensing back-and-forth.
The retouching process includes exposure and color correction, background cleanup, blemish removal, teeth whitening, dodge and burn, and color grading
Three business days for the full retouched gallery — that's a commitment, not a target. If you need a specific image sooner (a press release going out Friday, a deck for Monday), tell me at booking and I'll move it to the top of the queue. I've turned single executive photos around in 24 hours when there was a real deadline.
Standard executive retouching is included on every image — skin cleanup, stray hairs, wardrobe fixes, colour correction, the usual. The goal is you on your best day, not someone else. I don't reshape faces, slim jaws, or do anything that makes the photo not look like you when you walk into a meeting. If you want lighter or heavier retouching than my default, tell me — it's your face.
Yes. Any new executive added to your team in the next 12 months gets photographed into the same setup and lighting, at the same locked rate. Same backdrop, same direction, same retouching style. Your leadership page stops decaying every six months, which is what usually happens.
In the case that the images are required sooner, and express delivery service is available at an extra fee.
I don't bring a stylist by default, but I can arrange it on request — usually an extra $150 to $250 per person depending on availability. For most executives it isn't necessary; for press-feature or magazine-cover work, it's worth the difference. Mention it at booking.
Either. I bring the full portable studio — same lighting, same backdrops, same standard — to your office, and it's set up before the first person walks in. The downtown studio (815 1 St SW) is the right call when coordinating multiple calendars across different offices, or when an executive prefers a neutral environment. Whichever costs the leadership team fewer hours.
Things come up — especially for executives. Reschedule for free with 48 hours' notice. Inside 48 hours, I'll do my best to move you and only charge if I can't fill the slot. A non-refundable deposit holds the date; the balance is due after the gallery is delivered.
If you need more information or require a proposal please fill out this form, I will schedule a quick call to collect all the information I need to put it together and deliver it to you within two business days.
